Kentucky Sausage Gravy and Biscuits

Okay, gang. So I had a recent excursion to see if I could find good Biscuits and Gravy in Boston. No luck.

So, here is my recipe. Fair warning, it's a cholesterol bomb, and I don't care.

Cook up some biscuits. Make 'em yourself. use some Pillsbury premade. it doesn't matter. It's just the vehicle.

Cook up a roll of breakfast sausage in a cast iron skillet. I prefer Wegman's or Jimmy Dean. Again, southern breakfast sausage. Use your favorite. Just make sure it's all chunked up. Don't make a bunch of patties out of it.

Now, add flour and milk until it's just a hair on the too-liquid side. Bring it to a boil and let it thicken, stirring regularly and scraping the good stuff from the bottom of the skillet periodically.

Add Salt and pepper to taste.

It's that simple. Don't add dumb things no one wants. No onions, no garlic, no green peppers, no red peppers, none of that stuff. That's like putting raisins in potato salad. It's just wrong and shows you've got about the same sense as a possum in the dog pound.
